Interview with jana Hahn - order Management Confection at Haug Electronic Solutions

Jana Hahn

F.: Hello Jana, you have a special Haug history. How did you come to Haug?

In 2002, when I was working for the Repro company in Slovakia, I received the offer to go to Neu-Anspach to take care of issues such as customs and the logistical processing of orders from there. It quickly became clear to me that I wanted to do this and that I would move to Germany. Originally I only thought of one year, but that has now become more than 20 years, also for private reasons. "Repro" is now called Haug and I am one of the longest-serving employees.

F.: Has the work changed since then?

In any case. When I think back to that time, I think of fax machines and piles of paper. In the meantime, I have gone through three changes in merchandise management systems, which means that our processes and work have adapted to the respective times. I like to go along with the change because it helps me to be more efficient and to keep my area of responsibility under control.

F.: What does a typical day at AMK look like?

After "arriving" I first check my inbox and prioritize my working day. Most of the time, I then enter the customer orders that have been sent. I then pass on the requirements for the orders to our cable production in Slovakia and ask about expected delivery times. These vary depending on the complexity of the product and the availability of the materials required. This information is then in turn important for our customers and their planning, which is why I am now entering into a dialogue with them. I accompany the process and the entire communication up to the delivery of the goods, always keeping the customer's satisfaction in mind.

F.: Our cables are manufactured in Slovakia in Stropkov. Are you also a native Slovakian? Is that coincidence or what is behind it?

As already mentioned, I am originally from Slovakia and even come from Stropkov, where we manufacture our cables ourselves. I still have many friends and acquaintances there, some of whom are also colleagues. I am very happy to be closely connected to my home country through the professional exchange.

F.: What qualities set you apart and help you to cope with everyday life at Haug?

Structured work is the key to success for me. This is the only way I can work through the large number of customer requirements satisfactorily. It also helps me personally to have a good feeling. In addition, you should be able to communicate openly and honestly and not have any inhibitions about having unpleasant conversations. Personally, I'm always happy to come into contact with numbers again and again. I enjoy dealing with it.

F.: You are known in the company as a cheerful person. But if Monday hits you hard, what is your #MotivationMonday tip for the start of the week?

Basically, I like going back to the office after the weekend. Last week I had a very stupid Monday though. It only helps to close your eyes and go through.
